SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES: Our Sunday morning worship follows a traditional Lutheran liturgy which is based on the Scriptures. We receive Communion on the first Sunday of the month during most months and on special feasts or holy days. All worship services include prayer, singing hymns, Scripture reading, and a sermon/homily based on the Scriptures. We typically follow the order of readings from the Revised Common Lectionary.

CHRISTMAS EVE: Our Christmas Eve worship service usually begins at 6:30 p.m. and is a joyful celebration of the birth of Jesus. Traditional Christmas hymns mingle with the telling of the Christmas story. The service includes prayer, Christmas hymns, a sermon/homily, special readings and/or storytelling, Holy Communion, and a candlelight vigil. After the service, everyone is invited to fellowship over cookies and punch. Children receive a goodie bag.

MIDWEEK LENT SERVICES: During the season of Lent, Zion holds midweek worship services beginning on Ash Wednesday with Holy Communion at 7:00 p.m., continuing on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. until Holy week, concluding the season with Holy Week services at 7:00 pm on Maundy Thursday with Holy Communion and Good Friday. Our Sunday morning Bible Study looks deeper into the individual weekly themes. This year, our theme is "The Salutary Gift" (c) 2016 Concordia Publishing House.

CMA SUNDAY is an opportunity for motorcycle enthusiasts and riders to celebrate their faith, then ride off together for an afternoon of fellowship. This is usually held in August or September. This year's event was held on Sunday, September 24, 2017, with a fellowship hour complete with coffee and rolls at 9:30am and a worship service at 10:30am. Motorcyclists and enthusiasts are invited to join us for an energizing worship service.

ALL SAINTS SERVICE: Zion holds a special service during the normal worship time on All Saints Sunday to remember those who died in the previous year and all those who have died at any time that continue to hold a special place in our hearts and memories. If you would like a candle lit for someone special to you, contact the church office or Sister Helena before the first Sunday of November.
